About Town: National Small Business Week
To all of the small business owners who create jobs for your neighbors, financial well-being for your families and increase the availability of quality amenities in our communities: Happy Small Business Week!
Establishing and running a small business requires huge heaps of courage, discipline and focus. Entrepreneurs defy the odds, dare to chart their own destiny or refuse to accept “no” when doors close in other areas of their lives. In these acts of courage and vision, the U.S. economy is dramatically undergirded and sustained.
I applaud my fellow entrepreneurs as the nation takes the time to celebrate National Small Business Week, “Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners” (SBA.gov). Let’s make it count! This week support your favorite small business or a new one, and tweet a photo to me @UrbanRisingGrp. I’ll do the same!
